Current Alpha
SetApart is operated by Our Fellow Brands, LLC. This free alpha checks ingredient text against local reference lists. Public tester accounts, ingredient-history cloud sync, barcode lookup, photo recognition and subscriptions are not available. A separate invitation-only launch workspace is available to authorized administrators.
Ingredients and Results
Ingredient text is analyzed on your device. New result links contain an identifier, not the ingredient text. Temporary results stay in app memory and are lost on refresh, closing the app, or after enough newer results. Reopen a saved History entry or enter the label again. Do not enter personal or sensitive information.
Saved History and Preferences
Save Scan History is on by default when no preference exists. When enabled, up to 100 recent entries are stored on this device, including ingredient text, result information and time. Preferences and a local scan counter are also stored. This app has no cloud backup. Browser or device storage clearing can remove this data.
Your History Controls
Settings → Save Scan History stops new saved entries when turned off; it does not delete existing entries. Settings → Delete saved history asks for confirmation and clears saved entries on this device plus temporary results in the current tab. The app reports success only after the storage operation succeeds. Deletion cannot be undone and does not change your saving preference. Close other SetApart tabs before deleting; cross-tab coordination is not implemented. Browser history, bookmarks, downloaded files and notes copied elsewhere are not deleted by this control.
Older Links
Earlier alpha versions included ingredient text in result URLs. This version does not analyze those old links and replaces the current result address. It cannot erase earlier browser history, bookmarks or copies of links. Use your browser controls to remove old entries if needed.
Camera and Demo Data
The current demo screens use fixed sample text and do not request camera access, capture photos or read barcodes. Use manual ingredient entry for your own label. A sample result does not verify a real product.
Website Hosting and Feedback
The web app is hosted on GitHub Pages. Loading the website and resources sends ordinary web requests to that host, including network and browser information. The app does not send ingredient text to an analysis backend or use analytics or advertising trackers. Feedback drafts stay in memory during navigation and are lost on refresh or close. Copying or sharing a note is your choice; anything you send through another service is handled by that service. The app does not submit feedback automatically or confirm receipt.
Private Launch Workspace
Invited administrators sign in through Supabase using their email address. Supabase stores account identifiers and authentication records; Resend sends invitation and sign-in emails. Tasks, bugs, feedback entered by administrators, feature requests, notes, test runs, ownership and timestamps are stored in the dedicated SetApart Supabase database and accessible to active workspace administrators. The workspace does not automatically collect public testers’ ingredient history or feedback drafts. Admin sessions stay in the current tab’s memory. Sign out or close the tab to end that local session; refreshing requires sign-in again. Enter only necessary project information. Do not include passwords, personal health details or private tester contact details. History deletion in the public app does not delete workspace records. Ask the workspace owner to review any requested record removal.
Children and Security
SetApart is not directed at children under 13. Local data is accessible to people or software with access to your device or browser profile; it is not a private account or encrypted vault. Keep your device protected and avoid personal details in labels, notes and screenshots.
Changes and Questions
This policy will be updated when data handling changes. During this alpha, prepare a note in Share Feedback and send questions to the person who invited you through your existing contact channel. Public feedback is not delivered automatically. Login emails for the private workspace use the separate authentication delivery service described above.
